3 Budgets for a Backyard Patio Refresh

3 Budgets for a Backyard Patio Refresh

It’s that time of year when we all start planning our outdoors spaces for the summer.

But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start.

Summer weather is on the horizon (and, in some cases, already here!) so we’re getting the itch to start planning how we’re going to use our outdoor spaces. With international travel on hiatus, we’ll likely be spending a lot more time at home this summer, so it’s the perfect time to invest in expanding our living spaces to the outdoors or enhancing what we already have.

It can sometimes be challenging to know where to start, what pieces you need to buy to make the new gathering area feel welcoming and complete, and even how much you need to look at spending. So, I thought it might be helpful, even as a starting point, to put together a backyard patio mood board at 3 different price points to help you get a jump start on your plans.

With the warm weather around the corner, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of that back patio and expand your living space to the outdoors. It’s worth every penny!

I went with a simple complementary colour scheme of blue and orange (one of my favourites!). The first board includes the staples: an area rug, furniture, and decorative pillows. The second board adds lighting, storage, and a portable propane fire pit for those extra cozy vibes. And the last one includes some splurges with a beautifully hand-crafted wood stool and metal planters for those final touches.

Remember, these can also be a starting point to help guide you style-wise, so you can purchase similar looking items at different price points to fit within your budget. You can also swap out items you don’t need for ones that you do, like the storage for an umbrella.
