mood.
I love punches of colour - yes please to a regal purple, a rich orange, or a bold red - but nothing makes me more comfortable than a warm and cozy earthen palette. This doesn’t mean strictly brown and beige, but a pleasing blend of tones that enhances and adds depth to a room, outfit, or setting.
I find I am most comfortable in and drawn to this palette of colours like beige, camel, cream, soft white, charcoal, black, grey, and lichen and moss greens. Moody, and natural just feel right. I’ll take golden hour over a sunny morning at the beach any day.
Here is a list of things that I am currently loving and/or feeling inspired by:
brushed brass, charred wood, a bed covered in pillows and fluffy blankets, watching films and shows made in Vancouver and recognizing locations, soft-close anything, a big bowl of pasta, freshly manicured nails, spontaneous date nights, imperfect handcrafted porcelain tiles, textile art, and happy mistakes.
