october twenty twenty
mood.
The change in weather from Summer to Fall here seems so much more swift than any other seasonal shift. I love the beginning of Fall because it always feels like a fresh start, the cozy layers of clothing come out of storage, and there is a freshness in the air that is just so cleansing for the lungs and soul.
The downside about this influx of excitement is the crash afterward. Does anyone else experience it?
The way I plan to push through it this year is to not wait - use the 5-second rule and make things happen, spend lots of time outdoors (even in the rain), journal and document and goal set, and be patient and kind with myself.
Here is a list of things that I am currently loving and/or feeling inspired by:
hot beverages with marshmellows, fresh baked bread, circular shaped objects, velvet upholstery, fresh laundry, all of the pillows, imperfections and freeform in art, scalloped details, still waters, mossy and lush forest floors.
Stay happy and healthy!
All the things,
Hello! Catherine here.
I’m a Vancouver-based interior designer and love all things creative! I’ll be sharing things that inspire me, posting design tips and DIY projects, chatting about all kinds of topics, and hopefully inspiring some people to make little changes at home to create an environment that is functional, beautiful, and a perfect reflection of you!
